DMB Shattered with Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King

11:07 AM / /

After Listening to DMB religiously for my life,
Their latest album is out now, but really for sale on the 2nd of June.

The album titled "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" is a musical Homage to the late Leroi Moore, Who passed away last year after complications stemming from an ATV accident.
The After Having Listened to the New Album, Which is available for Listenon Pandora

This album is lyrically the deepest album that I've heard from The Dave Matthews band since the Lillywhite Sessions, Later released as Busted Stuff. There is clearly a somber undertone to the entire listening experience. This is an amazing album musically and still manages to retain the playful album structure of jam beats and ballads and love songs.

Listening the Album Begins by pulling no punches with the first Song "Grux" which within the band was a nickname for Leroi more. "Grux" is a simple Saxophone solo.

Listen to the album yourself and enjoy,
If you don't like DMB then you won't like the album Because you Don't like Happiness.

The Band has Continues Strong with the addition of a Trumpet which Plays an epic role in the song "Shake me like a monkey"

Boyd Tinsley has taken his violin and Progressed the sound to a whole new place on this album, with full swells and thick thick sound.

With their new producer the Drums come across punchier, and more rock sounding, but will less of the grungy edge that appeared on the everyday album.

The album is being release with a Limited edition documentary and a number of bonus tracks which are not available for streaming listening on the Pandora site. The Documentary will Chronicle the Bands Journey through the Creation of Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, Although how much time is dedicated to the struggle they had at the loss of Leroi Moore is yet to be seen.

As a side note Tim Reynolds returns to the studio with the band for the first time since Before these crowded streets, and for those unaware Butch Taylor left the group last spring and does not have a role on the album.

Good listen,
Do it or admit that your a robot and then I'll take you to love town, with my baseball bat.
